Product details

NCV8872SEPGEVB - NCV887200 Automotive Grade SEPIC Controller Evaluation Board

The NCV8872SEPGEVB Evaluation Board lets you evaluate the NCV8872 SEPIC converter.
There is no need for extra components apart from the dc voltage supply and if you wish to synchronise the switching frequency then an external clock can be used. The NCV8872 device boost controller drives an external N-channel MOSFET and will use peak current mode control. It has 675 kHz switching frequency with an output voltage of 12 V 1.5 A. It offers internal soft start protection, thermal shutdown, under-voltage lockout and more.
Ideal for automotive applications including engine clusters, navigation, start/stop, Instrument clusters and LED backlighting.

NCV8872
Topology uses two inductors
Reference voltage: 1.2 V 2%
Fixed Frequency Operation
Input Voltage: 4.8 V to 40 V dc (45 V Load Dump)
Reverse Polarity Protection Diode
Peak current mode control with internal slope compensation
Integrated internal regulator that supplies charge to the gate driver
Protection: cycle-by-cycle current limiting, hiccup-mode short-circuit protection hiccup mode overcurrent, internally-set soft-start, under-voltage lockout and thermal shutdown
Low quiescent current sleep mode
