RS PRO 1384 4-input Data Logging Thermometer

RS PRO 1384 is a great value digital 4-input Thermometer and Data Logger for working with any K, J, E, T, R, S, N, L, U, B and C-type thermocouple as the temperature sensor. Data loggers are portable electronic device that can measure and record the temperature of an environment. Temperature indication follows the international temperature scale of 1990 (ITS-90). The RS PRO 1384 features a 4 input function for T1 / T2 / T3 /T4 temperature display.

Features and Benefits:

  • Isolated Input Protection of 350 Vp-p between any two inputs

  • Highly accurate thermometer with thermocouple K, J, E, T, R, S, N, L, U, B, C types

  • 4 input functions for temperature display

  • Programmable High / Low alarm for 4 inputs

  • Display of MAX, MIN and MAX–MIN values of 4 inputs

  • Independent input setup (type of thermocouple, High / Low alarm values)

  • Memory and read function (99 sets)

  • 512 KB auto data logging capacity

  • USB interface – provides communication between the data logger and your PC, measurements can be downloaded for future analysis

  • Dimensions: 187 mm Length x 73 mm Width x 53 mm Height

  • Weight: 405 g approximately (with batteries)

Typical Applications:

A data logger is a key piece of equipment for collecting and storing data over time. It is often used instead of using valuable resources or man-power to manually log and record data and they can be placed in environments that are not always suitable for humans over long periods of time, for example when monitoring refrigeration or chilling units. Data loggers are incredibly useful devices that can offer use in a wide range of applications like:

  • Environmental and weather monitoring

  • Agricultural and livestock

  • Food and drink production

  • Building and site monitoring

  • HVAC

  • Health care

  • Accommodation

  • Offices

  • Warehousing

  • Greenhouses

FAQs

Is the battery supplied with the unit?
Yes, the RS PRO Thermometer/Data Logger is supplied as a stand-alone ready-to-use device with the battery and all necessary accessories.

Why do the LEDs flash after connecting my logger to a PC?
If the LEDs flash sequentially it may indicate that there is a problem with the battery. This could be a flat battery or a battery where a passivation layer has formed. Leaving the data logger connected to a PC for about 30 seconds and re-installing the batteries to reset the data logger will solve the issue.

If you see the sequential LEDs after disconnecting the logger from a PC then the logging session will not start. You should check the battery condition and then repeat the setup procedure using the PC software.
