TE Connectivity CoolSplice IDC Wire to Wire Splice Connector

CoolSplice IDC wire to wire splice connectors designed to make inline connections between pairs of discrete wires or twin cord cables. These CoolSplice IDC connectors have a slim, symmetrical, snag resistant design and can fit through a 16mm diameter hole, or PVC tube. The connectors consist of a colour coded housing with two wire entry holes at each end and two colour-coded push connect buttons. Two IDC contacts inside the connectors eliminate the need to pre-strip the wires. The wires are inserted into the connector until they reach the wire stop. The push buttons are pressed down and the wires are forced into the IDC contacts for left or right side independent termination. The body of the CoolSplice connector provides strain relief for the wire and the transparent housing enables visual inspection of the connection.
