Molex Push-Pull micro SIM Card Connector - 78723 Series
78723 series micro SIM card connector with an ultra-low profile height of just 1.35 mm offering significant vertical PCB space saving. The design of this micro SIM memory card connector features a wide finger area allowing easy removal of the micro SIM card using a push-pull method. This micro SIM memory card connector features an integral shell-spring tab which gives a high normal contact force of 0.30N when the SIM card is inserted. The connector shell incorporates dual angular card polarization features to prevent card misinsertion. These polarization features are also soldered to the PCB giving stability to the connector during card insertion and removal. This 78723 series micro SIM card connector has raised housing walls which provide anti-shorting of the exposed SIM card contact pads against the metal shell. The terminals have a rounded profile for smooth card insertion and have a lead-in design to prevent contact stubbing providing a good electrical connection. The housing of this micro SIM card connector is made from high temperature thermoplastic with a shielded stainless steel cover which provides protection against EMI interference. Retention features on the shell provide a secure retention to the PCB.
