Heat Shrink Tubing

DYMO’s heat shrink polyolefin tubes have been designed to offer a permanent solution to both cable identification and protection. The tubes can be directly printed on with any DYMO industrial labelling tool and remain legible even when exposed to solvents, fuels and oils. The printed sleeves are then applied before connection and are permanently secured after connection when shrunk with a heat gun.

Features and Benefits

• Heat shrink ratio of 3:1 meaning when heated the tubing shrinks to one third of its original diameter
• Polyolefin material – commonly used insulating material, flexible and durable
• Print does not fade or smudge
• Print remains legible even after exposure to abrasion, cleaning solvents or industrial fluids
• Flame retardant
• Supplied in lengths of 1.5m

What does a heat shrink ratio of 3:1 mean?

A ratio of 3:1 means when the tube is heated it shrinks to one third of its original diameter. The original tubing size is three times larger than its shrunken form.

How can I shrink the tubing?

A heat gun or a heat shrink oven are ideal ways to shrink your tubing. Before heating always check to ensure you know the correct heating temperature of your tubing.

Remember to ensure all health and safety precautions have been taken prior to using a heating devise.
