Earth Bond

The Glenair® Earth Bond offers a reliable way of allowing attachment to metallic structures when used with the hydraulic setting tool. It is a method of electrical grounding that is widely used in Industries such as Automotive, Railway, Military Vehicles, and Rolling stock. An Equipotential bond is created and it is suitable where lightning strike protection is required, for EMC where low resistance electrical connections must be maintained. The Earth terminal can be used in hazardous area where a naked flame is not allowed. Ideal for applications where there is no access behind a structure as it can be installed from the one side.

Requires no welding, cleaning and is suitable for use on uneven surfaces
Manufactured with non-corroding materials
Consistent low electrical resistance connection
Produces a high strength joint
Available for Steel and Aluminium plates ranging from 1.5-4mm thickness

Approvals

ENV1,ENV2,ENV5 Certificate number 02 / 00022. The Earth Bonding system has been approved for use by the Ministry of Defence, Warship Support agency and is NATO codified.
