Nutube Dual Triode Valve

The Korg Nutube 6P1 is a modern update of the classic dual-triode thermionic valve (vacuum tube) based on vacuum fluorescent display (VFD) technology. It's much smaller, consumes far less power and yet delivers the same audio with rich overtones as a conventional valve amplifier. It features an anode grid filament structure which operates the same as a triode vacuum tube. Packaged in a convenient DIL format it even 'glows' like the original. The plates are covered with phosphor, similar to a vacuum fluorescent display, which gives off a greenish-white light when the current is flowing.
The Nutube 6P1 chip offers high reliability over a long lifetime of 30,000 hours. It can be operated from as low as 5V and offers only 12mW (per channel) in power consumption. Nutube 6P1 offers excellent linearity too, similar to that of an ideal dual triode.
The Nutube 6P1 is the perfect device for developing, prototyping and manufacturing, whether you’re a DIYer or OEM organisation. It can be used to create a headphone amplifier or guitar amplifier. A small operating current makes it suitable for battery operated devices too.
