Product details

UE410 FLEXIClassic Modular Safety Controller, 8 Selectable Functions

This is the main module in the UE410 FLEXI system. 8 available programs can be set using rotary switches (e.g. emergency stop pushbuttons, Type IIIA and IIIC two-hand controls, safety interlock switches, non-contact switches, testable Type 2 sensors, hold to run switches, safety light curtains and safety light grids, safety laser scanners and muting sensors for two-input muting) plus AND, OR, Bypass and Muting functionality without the use of software tools.,This base unit has 4 safety inputs (the equivalent of two safety relays), 4 semiconductor outputs (to switch off any detected dangerous motion) and can control two applications that either act independently or are dependent on each other (instead of using two safety relays). Using available expansion modules the UE410 FLEXI system can offer 8 additional safety inputs (instead of using four more safety relays). This allows the system to be extended to up to 104 inputs or outputs. In this way the function of up to 6 safety relays can be replaced and wiring, programming and space can all be saved. The control category in accordance with EN 954-1 or the SIL in accordance with EN 61508 depends on the external circuit. Corresponds to up to control category 4 in accordance with EN 954-1; applications can reach up to SIL3 in accordance with IEC 61508. The emergency stop function corresponds to stop category 0 or 1 in accordance with,EN 60204-1. The UE410 FLEXI series consists of the following: main module UE410-MU, input/output extension UE410-XU, input extension module UE410-8DI, output modules UE410-2RO and UE410-4RO, diagnostics module UE410-DEV (DeviceNet), diagnostics module UE410-PRO (Profibus-DP)

Allows the system to be extended to up to 104 inputs or outputs
The modules can be plugged together, with communication between the individual units by means of an internal bus
The required logic and function is specified by means of rotary switches on the modules
50% reduction in cabinet space: base unit offers same function as two safety relays in a 22.5mm housing and through expansion can cover the function of up to 6 safety relays
Simple commissioning and no software: 8 available programs can be combined with selected logic functions using rotary switches
Drastically saves on wiring through use of an internal bus. Logic blocks are selected using pre-configured rotary switches so the typical wiring used to achieve this logic disappears. Just connect the devices and set the switches
Relay expansion
Diagnostic and fieldbus options: LED indicators on the units provide status information, or use the DeviceNet and Profibus communication modules to output this information
