Fittings – George Fischer Alprene

Typical applications are in systems for potable water supply and distribution, industrial process water, irrigation and agricultural/livestock watering. The compression fittings are designed for use with blue MDPE pipe to BS6572: 1985 for below ground applications, black MDPE pipe to BS6730: 1986 for above ground applications, copper pipe to BS2871 and imperial polyethylene to BS1972 Class C&D Low Density. They are WRc approved, in accordance with the Water Byelaws Scheme. Their maximum pressure rating is 16 bar at 20°C. They have a polypropylene body and nut, acetal grip ring and nitrile rubber seal ring. PTFE tape, and not jointing paste, should be used on BSP threads.
