Weller SP Series Soldering Irons
Introducing the SP series soldering irons from Weller. High-quality soldering irons with a power rating between 15 and 80 watts. The variance in power rating lets you choose the model that is the most appropriate for your application. The tip diameter also varies by model, ranging from 2 mm to 10 mm.
SP soldering irons feature 3 LED lights within the handle that help to illuminate the electronics that you are soldering. Offer comfort and flexibility and supplied with either a UK plug or Type F Schuko plug.
Why would you choose these Soldering Irons?
Heat Resistant LEDs
The handle of the iron features 3 heat resistant LEDs. The light produced by the LEDs enables you to use the SP soldering irons in a wide range of environments. You can use SP irons as accurately in dimly lit areas as in bright areas because the LEDs make it much easier to see the components and solder. The use of 3 LEDs in a triangular formation also ensures that the amount of shadow cast on the soldering tip is minimal and will not affect your soldering.
Comfort
The ergonomic handle design makes it incredibly easy to manipulate the soldering iron in your hand. Featuring a co-moulded and ribbed grip, the handle provides the maximum level of comfort. It has a round soft grip and is anti-slip throughout use. The round shape of the handle makes it easy to roll the iron in your hand to position the tip to where you need it.
The handle has a triangular-shaped front. Not only does this house the LED lights, but it also gives you a more precise and stable grip on the soldering iron once the tip is in the right position. Holding the front of the handle gives you more control, allowing for more precise soldering and better connections.
Features and Benefits
- SP soldering irons provide great temperature stability
- All models have a 1.6 m long durable cable with cord strain relief.
- The soldering tips can be replaced in these irons - soldering tips are a simple screw-type making them quick and easy to replace.
- These soldering irons all feature a high-performance stainless-steel heater that enhances the long operating lifespan of the soldering iron.
- Impact-resistant housing also helps to extend the lifespan of the model, offering some protection from knocks and drops.
